A/Prof Ben Pang is a consultant cardiologists and Electrophysiologist.  He has returned from a 2 year intensive overseas cardiac rhythm management (pacing and electrophysiology) fellowship at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Canada.  He has a special interest in arrhythmia ablation including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation and ventricular ectopy/ tachycardia and also implants pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and performs cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure.  Ben has completed a PhD and Masters of Public Health.  He has presented at national and international conferences and has multiple publications.  Ben is a caring and compassionate doctor with excellent communication skills.

Having had open heart surgery Feb 2023, I felt I was still not improving 12 months on – possibly feeling worse. Ben saw me early 2024, immediately recognised the underlying issue and arranged to undertake the required procedure as well as putting me on required medication to assist my condition. The procedure was abandoned due to the discovery of a clot in the heart with a secondary, and importantly successful, attempt 7 weeks later. Today, I continue to improve daily and gain much-needed strength. Ben explains logically and clearly the clinical problems and is very receptive to answering any query or concern. He is very down-to-earth, supportive with a great smile. Above all, he is proactive in pursuing a positive patient outcome. June 2024
